Cellatica (wine region)

Cellatica is a wine-growing region for dry red wine in the Italian region of Lombardy . The area has had the status of a Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC for short) since April 19, 1968 and comprises the municipalities of Brescia , the eponymous Cellatica , Collebeato , Gussago and Rodengo-Saiano on slopes and hills of the Alpine foothills in the province of Brescia . The zone comprises around 45 hectares of vineyards, which are cultivated by 37 winegrowers. Vineyards that are higher than 400 m above sea level. NN are excluded from the provisions. Cellatica is very close to the Franciacorta wine region .

The wine is blended from the grape varieties Barbera (30–50%), Marzemino (30–50%), Schiava Gentile (Media or Grigia) (10–30%) and Incrocio Terzi N ° 1 (10–30%). The wine can be stored for two to three years.
