Doussay is a French municipality with 653 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun (until 2015: canton of Lencloître ). The inhabitants are called Dousséens .

geography

Doussay is located about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Châtellerault . Doussay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saires in the north and north-west, Savigny-sous-Faye in the north and north-east, Cernay and Saint-Genest-d'Ambière in the east, Lencloître in the south, Thurageau in the south and south-west, Chouppes in the south-west, Coussay in the West as well as Verrue in the northwest.
