Maulay is a French municipality with 182 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun . The inhabitants are called Maulaisiens .
geography
Maulay is about 31 kilometers northwest of Châtellerault . Maulay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ceaux-en-Loudun in the north, Pouant in the north-east, Nueil-sous-Faye in the east, Dercé in the south, Guesnes in the south-west and La Roche-Rigault in the west and north-west.
