Pouant is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Assay in the north, Champigny-sur-Veude in the northeast, Richelieu in the east, Braye-sous-Faye in the southeast, Nueil-sous-Faye in the south, Maulay in the southwest and Ceaux-en-Loudun in the west.
