Sammarçolles is a French municipality with 642 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun . The inhabitants are called Sammarçollais .

geography

Sammarçolles is about 32 kilometers northwest of Châtellerault . The Négron River runs along the western boundary of the municipality . Sammarçolles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vézières in the north and north-west, Beuxes in the north, Marçay in the north and north-east, Ceaux-en-Loudun in the east, Messemé in the south, Loudun in the west and south-west and Basses in the west.
