Bernard Santal

Bernard Santal (born February 17, 1960 in Geneva ) is a former Swiss racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Bernard Santal began his career in the early 1980s in Monopostosport . Between 1982 and 1985 he drove in Formula 3 races . He had engagements in the French and European Formula 3 championships . The best place in the final classification was eighth overall in 1982. After just one race in the International Formula 3000 Championship in 1986 , he ended his monoposto activities and switched to touring and sports car racing.

Twice, in 1993 and 1995 , he won the LMP2 class at the Le Mans 24 Hours . His last racing season as an active driver was in 2011 when he finished third overall in the V de V Challenge Endurance series .
