The Egray is a river in France that runs in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises near the hamlet of La Tardivière in the municipality of Verruyes , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and, after 24 kilometers, flows into a tributary of the Sèvre Niortaise as a right tributary at the hamlet of Les Habites in the municipality of Saint-Maxire . In the upper reaches, the railway line from Thouars via Parthenay to Niort follows the course of the Egray valley.
