La Bernardière is a French commune with 1,815 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Mortagne-sur-Sèvre (until 2015: canton of Montaigu ). The inhabitants are called Bernardins .

geography

La Bernardière is located about 28 kilometers southeast of Nantes . In the northeast, the Maingot River borders the community. La Bernardière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cugand in the north and north-east, La Bruffière in the east, Treize-Septiers in the south and south-east, Montaigu-Vendée in the west and south-west and Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson in the west and north-west.
