Saint-Hilaire-le-Vouhis is a French commune with 1,060 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and is part of the canton of Chantonnay . The inhabitants are called Voulraisiens .
geography
Saint-Hilaire-le-Vouhis is located about 27 kilometers east-northeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . The municipality is bordered to the south by the Vouraie River . Saint-Hilaire-le-Vouhis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-de-Noyers in the north and north-west, Sainte-Cécile in the north-east, Chantonnay in the east, Bournezeau in the south and Fougeré in the west and south-west.
The A83 autoroute runs through the community .
