La Bruffière is a French commune with 3,943 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Mortagne-sur-Sèvre (until 2015: canton of Montaigu ). The inhabitants are called Bruffiériens .
geography
La Bruffière is about 30 kilometers southeast of Nantes and about 20 kilometers west of Cholet . The Sèvre Nantaise limits the municipality to the north. La Bruffière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bousnay in the north, Sèvremoine in the east and northeast, Tiffauges in the east, Les Landes-Genusson in the southeast, Treize-Septiers in the south and west, La Bernardière in the west and northwest and Cugand in the northwest.
