Montaigu-Vendée is a French municipality with 20,126 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It is part of the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Montaigu , of which it is the seat.
Montaigu-Vendée was formed as Commune nouvelle on January 1, 2019 from the former municipalities of Boufféré , La Guyonnière , Montaigu , Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu and Saint-Hilaire-de-Loulay , which in the new municipality had the status of a Commune déléguée to have. The administrative headquarters are in Montaigu.

geography
Montaigu-Vendée is about 32 kilometers south-southeast of Nantes . Montaigu-Vendée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Remouillé in the north and north-west, Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson in the north and north-east, La Bernardière in the north-east, Treize-Septiers in the east, La Boissière-de-Montaigu in the east and south-east, Chavagnes en-Paillers in the south and south-east, Les Brouzils in the south, L'Herbergement in the south-west, Montréverd in the west and south-west and Vieillevigne in the west.
The A83 autoroute runs through the municipality .
