Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson ( Breton Sant-Eler-Neved ; Gallo : Bóczaè is a) French municipality with 2285 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nantes and the canton of Clisson . The inhabitants are called Hilairois .

geography

Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson is about 25 kilometers south-east of Nantes on the border with the Vendée department . Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gorges in the north, Clisson in the northeast, Cugand in the east, La Bernardière in the southeast, Montaigu-Vendée in the south, Remouillé in the west and southwest and Saint-Lumine-de-Clisson in the west and northwest.

The community belongs to the Gros Plant du Pays Nantais wine-growing region . Mainly the Muscadet is produced here.
