Saint-Colomban ( Breton : Sant-Koulman ) is a French municipality with 3355 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Saint-Colomban belongs to the arrondissement of Nantes and the canton of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu . The inhabitants are called Colombanais .

Saint-Colomban is located about 23 kilometers south of Nantes on the edge of the Pays de Retz . Saint-Colomban is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Geneston in the north, Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine in the east and south-east, Corcoué-sur-Logne in the south, La Limouzinière in the south-west and Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu in the west and north-west .
This is where the Muscadet wine , especially the Muscadet-Côtes de Grandlieu , is produced.
