Gétigné ( Breton Yestinieg ) is a French municipality with 3669 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nantes and the canton of Clisson . The inhabitants are called Gétignois (es) .
geography
Gétigné is located about 25 kilometers southeast of Nantes between the Sèvre Nantaise and Moine rivers . Gétigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sèvremoine in the north, Montigné-sur-Moine in the east, Boussay in the southeast, Cugand in the south and southwest and Clisson in the west and northwest.
The wine-growing regions of Muscadet and Gros Plant du Pays Nantais extend into the municipality. The former Route nationale 762 (today's D762) leads through Gétigné.
