Saint-Jean-de-Boiseau is located on the Loire around thirteen kilometers west of downtown Nantes .
Saint-Jean-de-Boiseau is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Couëron on the other side of the Loire in the north, Indre in the northeast, La Montagne in the east, Brains in the south and Le Pellerin in the west.
