The canton of Saint-Brevin-les-Pins ( Breton Canton Sant-Brewenn ) is a French canton in the arrondissement Nantes and Saint-Nazaire , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Saint-Brevin-les-Pins .

history

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. The residents previously belonged to the cantons of Le Pellerin (3 communes), Paimbœuf (3 communes) and Saint-Père-en-Retz (3 communes).

location

The canton is located in the west of the Loire-Atlantique department west of Nantes . Its northern border forms the Loire , its western border the Bay of Biscay as part of the Atlantic Ocean .

In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Marie-Christine Curaudeau / Yannick Haury (both Union de la Droite) won against Chantal Leduc-Bouchaud / Pascal Pras (both Union de la Gauche) with a 57.11% share of the vote (voter turnout : 48.88%).
