The Canton Nantes-1 ( Breton Canton Naoned-1 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .
history
The canton was established in 1790. By dividing the city of Nantes, its area steadily decreased. In its current form, it was created when the French cantons were re-divided in 2015.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the seven voting couples achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Vincent Danis / Fabienne Padovani (both PS) won against Xavier Fournier / Anne-Sophie Guerra (both Union de la Droite) with a share of the vote of 52.64% (turnout: 48.4% ).
