The canton Rezé-2 ( Breton Canton Reudied-2 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .

history

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. The residents used to belong to the Rezé canton .

location

The canton is located in the southern half of the Loire-Atlantique department.

The canton of Rezé-2 includes parts of the town of Rezé: the quarters Barbonnerie, Basse-Lande, Château, Galarnière, Haut-Landreau, Naudières, Petit-Bois, Petite-Lande, Saint-Paul and Trocardière.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the six voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Samuel Landier / Malika Tararbit (both PS) won against Brigitte Dousset / Antoine Gautier (both Union de la Droite) with 63.89% of the vote (turnout: 44.58%).
