The Canton Nantes-7 ( Breton Canton Naoned-7 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .
history
The canton was created by splitting up what was then the canton of Nantes-6 in 1908. By dividing the city of Nantes into further cantons, its area steadily shrank. In its current form, it was created when the French cantons were re-divided in 2015.

The canton is located in the center of the Loire-Atlantique department.
Communities
The canton of Nantes-7 comprises districts in the northeast of the city of Nantes: the quarters of Beaujoire, Gachet, La Bernardière, La Violerie, Le Landreau and Saint-Joseph-de-Porterie.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the six voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Michel Ménard / Catherine Touchefeu (both PS) won against Fabien Foy / Josette Noël (both FN ) with a vote of 76.27% (turnout: 48.26%).
