Gojko Kačar ( Serbian - Cyrillic Гојко Качар , born January 26, 1987 in Novi Sad , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with Anorthosis Famagusta .

Career

society

Gojko Kačar discovered football for himself during the 1994 World Cup and began playing football at the age of seven for the Serbian first division club FK Vojvodina . Since he was supposed to take over his father's law firm , Kačar initially studied law alongside football after graduating from high school , which he gave up after moving to Germany.

For the 2008/09 season Kačar moved to the Bundesliga for the capital city club Hertha BSC . According to media reports, the transfer fee amounted to three million euros and made Kačar the most expensive transfer in the club's history from Novi Sad.

During the 2010 summer break, Kačar moved to Hamburger SV . In his fifth league game for HSV against 1. FC Kaiserslautern he came in for the injured David Jarolím and marked the interim 1-1 with a header and also led the attack that led to the 2-1 winner a pass over 60 meters.

During the game against 1. FC Nürnberg in April 2012, Kačar suffered a broken ankle and was out for a long time. In November he celebrated his comeback in the second team of HSV. Due to the oversupply of midfielders, Kačar should leave the club during the winter break of the 2012/13 season . However, transfers to Hannover 96 and Eintracht Frankfurt failed . Due to suspensions and injuries in the team, Kačar celebrated his comeback in the first team on February 9, 2013 (21st matchday) when he came on for Heung-Min Son in the 4-1 away win against Borussia Dortmund shortly before the end of the game .

For the 2013/14 season , Kačar was eliminated from the first team and transferred to the U23. After Bert van Marwijk became the new coach, he was allowed to participate in the training of the first team again. Kačar was also outside of the game under van Marwijk and was still used in the U23.

On February 14, 2014, Kačar moved to the Japanese first division club Cerezo Osaka on loan after a trial session until the end of July 2014 . He made his debut on March 1, 2014, on the first day of the 2014 season , when he came on for Takahiro Ōgihara in the 85th minute of the 1-0 home defeat by Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In the following games Kačar worked out a regular place in central defense next to Tatsuya Yamashita . He scored his first goal on March 15, 2014 in a 4-1 win over Shimizu S-Pulse .

Kačar rejected an offer to extend the contract with Cerezo Osaka and returned to HSV for the 2014/15 season . Kačar was one of the winners of the preparation under coach Mirko Slomka and was a starting candidate for the season opener. However, he was injured in a friendly against Lazio and was out until mid-September 2014. Under the new coach Josef Zinnbauer Kačar was mostly a replacement. At the end of March 2015, he was informed that his contract, which expired at the end of the season, would not be extended. Nevertheless, Kačar became a regular player in the season finale under the new coach Bruno Labbadia . On the 31st and 32nd matchday he secured his team three points in the relegation battle with two late goals, so that the relegation place was reached on the last matchday. | After the end of the season, his contract was extended by one year to 2016. After the 2015/16 season , HSV no longer extended the expiring contract with Kačar.

In July 2016, Kačar signed a two-year contract with FC Augsburg. After his contract expired, he joined Anorthosis Famagusta .

National team

In 2007 Kačar made his debut for the Serbian U21 national team and was runner-up with the team at the U21 European Championship in the Netherlands.

On September 7, 2008 Kačar scored five goals for the Serbian U21 selection against the Hungarian U21 selection. With goals in the 87th, 88th and 89th minutes, he managed a hat trick. He was also in the Serbian squad at the 2008 Summer Olympics .

Javier Clemente , then coach of the Serbian A-selection , called for the international match on November 24, 2007, along with nine other debutants, and Kačar for the qualifying game for the European Football Championship in Belgrade against Kazakhstan .

Kačar also took part in the 2009 U21 European Championship for Serbia and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He came on as a substitute in the 70th minute of the game against Germany at the 2010 World Cup. He did not come to other missions at the World Cup.
