The Canton Nantes-6 ( Breton Canton Naoned-6 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .
history
The canton was founded in 1790. By dividing the city of Nantes into further cantons, its area steadily decreased. In its current form, it was created when the French cantons were re-divided in 2015.

The canton is located in the center of the Loire-Atlantique department.

The canton of Nantes-6 comprises districts in the north-west of the city of Nantes: the quarters La Jonelière, La Saulzinière, Le Pont-du-Cens, Longchamp and Petite-Censive.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the seven voting couples achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Pascal Bolo / Christine Orain (both PS) won against Roseline Arzel / Benoit Stekr-Ridel (both Union de la Droite) with a share of the vote of 55.65% (turnout: 47.93%) ).
