The Canton Nantes-3 ( Breton Canton Naoned-3 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .
history
The canton was founded in 1790. By dividing the city of Nantes into further cantons, its area steadily decreased. In its current form, it was created when the French cantons were re-divided in 2015.
location
The canton is located in the center of the Loire-Atlantique department.
Communities
The canton of Nantes-3 includes districts south of the city of Nantes; more precisely the districts of Delorme, Île Beaulieu, Les Bourdonnières and Prairie Aux Ducs.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the six voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Alain Robert / Fanny Sallé (both PS) won against Louisa Amrouche / Patrice Bolo (both Union de la Droite) with 59.89% of the vote (turnout: 44.46%).
