The Canton of Nantes-2 ( Breton Canton Naoned-2 ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Nantes , in the Loire-Atlantique and the region Pays de la Loire .
history
The canton was founded in 1790. By dividing the city of Nantes into further cantons, its area steadily decreased. In its current form, it was created when the French cantons were re-divided in 2015.

The canton is located in the center of the Loire-Atlantique department.

The canton of Nantes-2 includes districts in the center and east of the city of Nantes; more precisely the quarters of Gare Sud, Le Coudray, Plessis Tison and Prairie de Mauves.

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the seven voting couples achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Françoise Haméon / David Martineau (both PS) won against Jérôme Duchesne / Stéphanie Léauté (both Union de la Droite) with 57.13% of the vote (turnout: 47.18%).
