Sainte-Pazanne is a French municipality with 6774 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nantes and the Canton of Machecoul (until 2015: Canton Le Pellerin ). The inhabitants are called Pazenais (es) .

Sainte-Pazanne is located about 28 kilometers southwest of Nantes . Sainte-Pazanne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Port-Saint-Père in the north, Saint-Mars-de-Coutais in the east, Machecoul-Saint-Même in the south and south-east, Villeneuve-en-Retz in the south and south-west and Saint-Hilaire- de-Chaléons to the west.
