Divatte-sur-Loire ( Breton : Diwazh-Liger ) is a French municipality with 6844 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Nantes and is part of the canton of Vallet (until 2015: canton of Le Loroux-Bottereau ). The inhabitants are called divattais .
The municipality was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle by merging the former municipalities of La Chapelle-Basse-Mer and Barbechat .
geography
Divatte-sur-Loire is located about 18 kilometers northeast of Nantes in the Pays Nantais and Goulaine landscapes . Here the wine is produced in the Gros Plant du Pays Nantais and Coteaux d'Ancenis growing areas . Divatte-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Cellier and La Varenne in the north, Champtoceaux in the northeast, Saint-Sauveur-de-Landemont in the east, Landemont in the southeast, Le Loroux-Bottereau in the south, and Saint-Julien-de-Concelles in the south-west, Thouaré-sur-Loire in the west and Mauves-sur-Loire in the west.
