Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine ( Breton : Sant-Fieg-ar-Mewan ) is a French municipality with 1207 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Vertou (until 2015: canton of Vertou-Vignoble ) and the Arrondissement of Nantes . The inhabitants are called (Saint-) Fiacrais .
geography
Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine is located at the confluence of the Maine and Sèvre Nantaise rivers, about 15 kilometers south-east of Nantes . Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Haie-Fouassière in the north and north-west, Maisdon-sur-Sèvre in the east and south-east, Château-Thébaud in the south and Vertou in the west and north-west.
