Carlo Restallino
Carlo Restallino (* 1776 in Zornasco , Malesco , † 1864 in Munich ) was an Italian miniature painter and etcher who worked in Munich .
Act
Restallino studied the art of etching in Munich with Johann Jakob Dorner the Elder and Matthias Klotz . After graduating, he visited Dresden and Berlin as well as Italy .
In 1808 he was appointed court painter at the Munich court of the Kingdom of Bavaria and in 1820 he was appointed teacher to the family of King Maximilian I Joseph . He dealt with miniature painting and etchings .
His works were shown posthumously in the 1880s at art exhibitions in the Munich Glass Palace .
