Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire is a French commune with 26,838 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It is located immediately southeast of Nantes on the left bank of the Loire , 380 km west of the capital Paris .
The place is known by General Pierre Cambronne . The name refers to Saint Sebastian . In the course of European unification , Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire founded several town partnerships with Germany ( Glinde ), Hungary ( Kaposvár ), Romania ( Cernavodă ) and Wales ( Porthcawl ).
