La Planche ( Breton : Ar Plank ; Gallo : La Plaunch ) is a French municipality with 2640 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nantes and the canton of Clisson (until 2015: canton of Aigrefeuille-sur-Maine ). The inhabitants are called planchots .

geography

La Planche is about 30 kilometers south of Nantes on the Ognon . Neighboring municipalities of La Planche are Montbert in the north and north-west, Aigrefeuille-sur-Maine in the north-east, Remouillé in the east and north-east, Vieillevigne in the south and Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine in the west.
