Mouzillon ( Breton : Maodilon ; Gallo : Mózilhon ) is a commune with 2,830 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nantes and the canton of Vallet . The inhabitants are called Mouzillonnais (es) .

geography

Mouzillon is located about 28 kilometers southeast of Nantes on the Sanguèze River . Mouzillon is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Vallet in the north, Sèvremoine in the east, Clisson in the south, Gorges in the south and southwest and Le Pallet in the west.

The municipality belongs to the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine wine region in the Gros Plant du Pays Nantais wine region .
