Touvois ( Breton : Tolvez , Gallo : Tovoéz ) is a commune with 1,828 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Administratively it belongs to the Arrondissement of Nantes and is part of the canton of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu (until 2015: canton of Legé ). The inhabitants are called Touvoisien (ne) s .

geography

Touvois is located about 36 kilometers south-southwest of Nantes in the Pays de Retz . Touvois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Étienne-de-Mer-Morte in the north and north-west, Corcoué-sur-Logne in the north and north-east, Legé in the east, Grand'Landes in the south-east, Falleron in the south and south-west and Froidfond in the west and Southwest.

The Gros Plant du Pays Nantais , Muscadet and Muscadet-Côtes de Grandlieu wine-growing regions extend into the municipality.

The former route nationale 753 (today's D753) runs through the municipality .
