Orvault ( Breton Orvez ) is a French municipality with 26,355 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the northwestern outskirts of Nantes in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . The people of Orvault call themselves Orvaltais.
