Craig T. Nelson
Craig Theodore Nelson (born April 4, 1944 in Spokane , Washington ) is an American actor . He was best known for his participation in the television series Mit Herz und Scherz (1989–1997), The District - Mission in Washington (2000–2004) and Parenthood (2010–2015).
The "T", which stands for Theodore in his name, was added because an actor other than "Craig Nelson" was already registered as a member of the Screen Actors Guild .
Career
Due to his outward appearance (1.92 m tall), Nelson is often cast for strong, confident and charismatic characters. The character of Mister Incredible in the Pixar animation film The Incredibles (2004), which he also voiced in the original version, shows the features of his appearance clearly. With his role in the series My Name Is Earl , he parodied the type of role he usually portrayed and mimed a helpless prison director who is being bullied by his wife.
Private life
Nelson has been married to his second wife, actress Doria Cook-Nelson, since 1987. He has three children from his marriage to his first wife Robin.
