Action Jackson is an American action film directed by Craig R. Baxley in 1988 .
action
Jericho Jackson is a Detroit police officer , often called Action Jackson . Jackson is investigating the entrepreneur Peter Dellaplane, who is involved in criminal activities.
When Patrice Dellaplane sees through her husband's machinations, she is killed by him. Jackson is suspected of murder and suspended from duty. Nevertheless, he continues to investigate on his own, with Dellaplane's drug-addicted lover Sydney Ash helping him. Dellaplane's men capture Ash and Jackson. During a party at Dellaplane's house, a Jackson disguised killer is said to shoot an opponent of the entrepreneur. The policeman's charred corpse is said to be found in a burned car nearby. Dellaplane continues to tell Jackson that he wants to rape Ash and kill her with a drug overdose.
A friend helps Jackson break free. Jackson goes to the party, where it comes to the fight against the helper of the entrepreneur. Action Jackson drives a sports car into the house, then up the stairs to the apartment block. The policeman succeeds in catching Dellaplane. After Dellaplane is killed, Jackson returns to active police service. He and Ash kiss in the final scene.
