Mary Ellen Trainor

Mary Ellen Trainor (born July 8, 1952 in San Francisco - † May 20, 2015 in Montecito , California ) was an American actress .

Life

Mary Ellen Trainor was best known for her role as Harriet Walsh in The Goonies and as Dr. Stephanie Woods in the Lethal Weapon range . In the series Roswell she took on the role of Diane Evans from 1999 to 2002.

She has appeared several times in Robert Zemeckis ' films, such as In the Hunt for the Green Diamond , Back to the Future II , Death Suits Her , Forrest Gump and as a murderer in the Christmas episode And All Through the House of the television series Stories from the crypt . She also starred in the films The Ghosts I Called ... , Ghostbusters II , Die Hard and Freaky Friday .

Mary Ellen Trainor was married to director Robert Zemeckis from 1980 to 2000 and had their son Alex (* 1985), who played small roles in several of his father's films. In May 2015 she died of complications from pancreatic cancer .
