Dorit Gäbler (born January 9, 1943 in Plauen ) is a German actress and chansonnière .

Life

Gäbler studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . In Karl-Marx-Stadt (today Chemnitz ) she played Elisa in My Fair Lady as a beginner and worked at the Staatstheater Dresden from 1969 to 1980 .

In the report of the GDR television evening in the spotlight (1981) she could be seen alongside Lili Ivanova , Rolf Herricht and Helena Vondráčková . She appeared several times in supporting roles in DEFA films. Gäbler played at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin and at the Dresden Comedy . In her solo programs with a focus on “ Hildegard Knef ”, she creates an homage to the diva.

Gäbler lives in Moritzburg- Friedewald near Dresden , is married to the entertainer Karl-Heinz Bellmann and has two children. The musician Rainer Gäbler is her brother.
