Tredegar

Tredegar is a town in Blaenau Gwent County Borough in South Wales .
She became known as the birthplace of several important Labor politicians: Aneurin Bevan , who established the UK National Health Service , and former party leaders Neil Kinnock and Michael Foot . The town, which began its boom with the establishment of mining in Wales, is also the birthplace of Manic Street Preachers lyricist and bassist Nicky Wire and his brother, author Patrick Jones, and professional golfer Bradley Dredge .
The British historian and biographer Vincent Cronin (1924–2011) was born here. Tredegar is also the birthplace of multiple snooker world champion Ray Reardon (* 1932) and his friend and long-time professional player Cliff Wilson .
