Delta Goodrem

Delta Lea Goodrem (born November 9, 1984 in Sydney ) is an Australian singer and songwriter , pianist and actress .
Career
Goodrem has been playing the piano since she was eight . During her childhood she made a few commercials and had a guest role on the television series Police Rescue . When she was twelve she made a demo tape that she sent to her favorite football team , the Sydney Swans. Goodrem was hoping to sing the Australian national anthem before a Swans game.
The demo tape was forwarded to manager Glenn Wheatley, a sponsor of the Swans. Thanks to Wheatley, Goodrem got a recording deal with Sony at the age of 15 ; a year later her first single I Don't Care was released . The already finished album Delta was never released.
Since 2002, Goodrem played in the Australian series Neighbors (Neighbors) the role of Nina Tucker . This series also made stars like Kylie Minogue , Natalie Imbruglia and Jason Donovan known.
On November 11, 2002, Goodrem's second single Born to Try was released , which became her first number one hit. Born to Try is also the first release from their debut album Innocent Eyes , from which four more singles followed and also became number one hits. Innocent Eyes was number one on the Australian album charts for over 30 weeks and went platinum 15 times.
In the summer of 2003, it was announced that Goodrem had Hodgkin's disease , a type of lymph node cancer . She had to undergo constant chemotherapy . In the spring of 2004, cancer was considered defeated. In November 2004 Goodrem started her comeback with the single Out of the Blue and the album Mistaken Identity . Both, single and album, were again number one in the Australian charts.
In September 2007 Goodrem released their new single In This Life from their third album Delta which was released on October 20, 2007 in Australia. The single and album made it to number one in the Australian charts. Her second single Believe Again from her third album made it to number two on the charts.
She has been a jury member and coach on the Australian singing talent show The Voice , which airs on Nine Network , since the first season in 2012 .
In 2015, Goodrem was first seen in a musical in Cats .
In May 2018, the two-part biopic Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You with Goodrem in the lead role as Olivia Newton-John premiered on Australian television. At the same time, the album I Honestly Love You was released , which contains songs from the film, including Let Me Be There and Love is a Gift in a duet with Newton-John. Goodrem and Newton-John have been friends for several years.
Life
From 2004 to 2011 Goodrem was in a relationship with Irish singer Brian McFadden . From mid-2011 to February 2012 she was in a steady relationship with Nick Jonas .
