Brian McFadden
Brian McFadden (born April 12, 1980 in Dublin ; full name Brian Nicholas McFadden ; before his solo career: Bryan McFadden ) is an Irish pop singer .
Musical career
McFadden made his breakthrough as a member of the boy group Westlife , which rose to become a successful band between 1999 and 2003, particularly in Great Britain , and sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. But he was already a well-known singer and played in various bands. One of them was the Cartel Show Band. He and Nicky Byrne joined Westlife through an audition.
On March 9, 2004, it was announced at a press conference that McFadden was leaving Westlife to focus more on his family.
After leaving Westlife, McFadden worked on his solo career. His debut single Real to Me reached number 1 in the British singles chart in September 2004 . But when his second single, Irish Son , came out, there was a problem with an Irish school that claimed to be in the video when it wasn't. McFadden's third single Demons was, like the single Irish Son , not released in Germany or Austria .
The second album set in Stone was released on April 21, 2008, initially in Australia and New Zealand . In November 2008 it was also in stores in Europe . In Australia and New Zealand, the first single Like Only a Woman Can (a new version of the song that was already released in Ireland in April 2007) was released on March 22, 2008. In Europe, Room to Breathe was released as the first single from McFadden's second solo album. The next title was Twisted . In Australia, the third single Everything But You was released , which was only offered as a download.
In 2019 he took part in the eleventh season of the British figure skating show Dancing on Ice .
Personal
He met ex-member of the British pop girl group Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona in 1999 and married her on January 5, 2002. However, McFadden separated from Katona in September 2004 and their divorce finally became legal in December 2006. From this marriage came two daughters, Molly and Lilly. Since 2004 McFadden dated the Australian singer Delta Goodrem . In April 2011, they announced their split. On August 30, 2012, McFadden married Irish DJ Vogue Williams in Dublin. The wedding in Florence followed on September 1, 2012.
