Bradley Dredge (born July 6, 1973 in Tredegar ) is a Welsh professional golfer on the European Tour .

Career

He became a professional golfer in 1996 and initially played the Challenge Tour , through which he was able to qualify for the European Tour . In the first year on the major tournament series, Dredge was not able to assert himself, but he promptly managed to rise again and has been a permanent member of the European Tour since 2000. In 2003 he achieved his first tournament victory there, the Madeira Open , after winning twice on the Challenge Tour. 2005 was his best year so far. Numerous top 10 placements in important events and a prize money of over € 1 million helped Dredge to rank 16 in the money list. With his partner Stephen Dodd he was able to win the World Cup for Wales . In addition, Dredge was a member of the winning team from GB & Ireland at the Seve Trophy that year and scored the winning point in his match against French Ryder Cup player Thomas Levet . In September 2006 he achieved his second victory on the European Tour, at the Omega European Masters , with the season record lead of eight strokes.

Bradley Dredge has been married to his wife Germaine since 1996 and is based in the Welsh capital, Cardiff .
