Saligny is a former French commune with last 1,938 inhabitants (2013) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belonged to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Aizenay (until 2015: canton Le Poiré-sur-Vie ). The inhabitants are called Salignais .

With effect from January 1, 2016, Saligny was merged with Belleville-sur-Vie to form a Commune nouvelle under the name Bellevigny .
