The Boulogne is a river in France that runs in the Vendée and Loire-Atlantique departments in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Martin-des-Noyers , generally drains in a north-westerly direction, reaches the Pays de Retz landscape and flows into the Lac de Grand-Lieu after 87 kilometers below Saint-Philbert-de- Grand-Lieu . This wetland is a natural landscape worth preserving and registered under Natura 2000 under code FR5200625. The only drainage of this lake is the river Acheneau , the Boulogne can therefore be classified as a tributary of the Acheneau.
