Saint-Urbain church

Saint-Urbain is a French municipality with 1818 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne and the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Monts (until 2015: canton of Beauvoir-sur-Mer ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Urbainais .

Saint-Urbain is about 51 kilometers southwest of Nantes near the Bay of Biscay . Saint-Urbain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Gervais in the north, Sallertaine in the east and south, La Barre-de-Monts in the west and south-west, and Beauvoir-sur-Mer in the north-west.
