Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Poiroux in the north, Avrillé in the east and northeast, Longeville-sur-Mer in the southeast, Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard in the south and southwest and Talmont-Saint-Hilaire in the west.
