Saint-Christophe-du-Ligneron is a French commune with 2,554 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vendée department in the southwest of the Pays de la Loire region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne and the canton of Challans (until 2015: canton Palluau ). The inhabitants are called ligneronnais .

Saint-Christophe-du-Ligneron is located about 46 kilometers south-southwest of Nantes on the Ligneron River . Saint-Christophe-du-Ligneron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Froidfond in the north, Falleron in the northeast, Saint-Paul-Mont-Penit in the east, Maché in the southeast, Apremont in the south, Commequiers in the southwest and Challans in the west.
