Les Achard is a French municipality with 5063 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire in the Arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 by merging the previous communities of La Chapelle-Achard and La Mothe-Achard . It borders Vairé and Saint-Julien-des-Landes in the north-west, Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux in the north and east , Le Girouard in the south-east, Grosbreuil in the south, Sainte-Foy (point of contact) and in the south-west West with Saint-Mathurin .
