Brem-sur-Mer is a commune in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region in France . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez in the Arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne . 2720 inhabitants live in an area of 15.85 km² (as of January 1, 2017). South of the municipality the Auzance flows into the Atlantic .
The municipality gives its name to the Fiefs Vendéens -Brem wine-growing region .
