Givrand (also Givrandais ) is a French commune in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne and the canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez . The municipality, with 2,176 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), is a member of the Pays de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie municipal association .
geography
Givrand is bordered to the south by the Jaunay River and is close to the Atlantic coast . Givrand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Fenouiller in the north, Saint-Révérend in the northeast, L'Aiguillon-sur-Vie in the east and southeast, Bretignolles-sur-Mer in the south and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie in the northwest.
