La Chaize-Giraud is a French commune with 1,068 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Les Sables-d'Olonne and the canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie ). The municipality is a member of the Pays de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie municipal association . The inhabitants are called the Chaizois .

La Chaize-Giraud is located near the Atlantic coast and is bordered by the Vie in the north . La Chaize-Giraud is surrounded by the neighboring communities of L'Aiguillon-sur-Vie in the north, Landevieille in the east and south, and Bretignolles-sur-Mer in the south and west.
