Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups is a French village with 2,395 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire (until 2015: canton of La Mothe-Achard ). The inhabitants are called Flavois .
geography
Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups is about thirteen kilometers west-southwest of La Roche-sur-Yon and about 19 kilometers northeast of Les Sables-d'Olonne on the Auzance , which rises here. Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Landeronde in the north, Les Clouzeaux in the east, Nieul-le-Dolent in the southeast, Le Girouard in the south, La Chapelle-Achard in the west and southwest, La Mothe-Achard in the west as well Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux to the north-west.
